Why is my catering menu being added to Grubhub’s new catering platform?
We are upgrading corporate clients to our new ordering experience and as they are upgraded we want to ensure they are able to continue to order from all their favorite places and make sure you don’t miss out on any orders.
What are the differences between the Seamless corporate platform and Grubhub’s new catering platform?

When diner places an order with less notice than the caterer has requested they receive an alert notification, but are still able to place their order. The caterer can then confirm or cancel the order depending on ability to fulfill or not.

Do my delivery estimates change on Grubhub’s new catering platform?
Yes. On the Grubhub platform you will need to update your Default Prep + Delivery estimate. This estimate represents the time it takes you to prepare and deliver a catering order.
Do my hours change on Grubhub’s new catering platform?
Yes. On the Grubhub platform, Catering Hours represent when you will have staff available to confirm and begin preparing catering orders. Your first available catering delivery will be the start of your Catering Hours plus your delivery estimate. For example if your catering open time is 6:00 am and your delivery estimate is 60 minutes then your first available catering delivery will be for 7:00am.
What if I need advance notice?
This can be set using the Minimum Advance Notice field at the menu utem level when setting up your catering menu. By default, we will give you up to 24 hours notice for all catering orders.
What about my catering delivery boundary?
We will be creating a catering delivery boundary for you based on your previous Seamless corporate catering orders. To ensure these boundaries and fees are correct we encourage you to log-in to Grubhub for Restaurants to review and modify these boundaries after this is live in early September.
How will I receive orders on the new Grubhub catering platform?
You will receive catering orders the same way you currently receive your individual meal orders. If you have a catering manager or dedicated staff for your catering orders, we suggest receiving orders via email (if you don’t already), since you will be able to easily filter catering orders and direct them to the appropriate person. All the catering orders subject line will contain “Catering Order.”
When will I be notified about catering orders on the new catering platform?
You will receive notification for catering orders up to 24 hours in advance.
How does delivery work if I’m on Grubhub?
If Grubhub delivers your individual meal orders that will continue for the individual orders only. You will be responsible for delivering your catering orders as you have on the Seamless corporate platform.
